Personality: Uncomfortable around those of his own race due to childhood trauma, he is distant and can be really cold at times. He becomes very angry if somebody comments on his looks and tends to be rather violent and untrusting towards the commenter.

However, after he accepts someone as somebody that he can trust, he is able to open up to that person. Deep down he’s not that mean and he prefers to do anonymous acts of kindness towards the people he sees suffering.

History: Akihisa was an orphan who was taken in by his only friend’s family. Due to his somewhat ‘feminine looks’, he was often picked on as a child but he always had his best friend at his side to help him get back up again. However, she was rather sickly and as her health deteriorated, her parents decided to seek out a doctor or healing artes strong enough to cure her illness. In addition to that, it had been discovered that she was a half-elf, which caused an uproar in the village. The close-minded village elder wasted no time in banishing the girl’s family from the village. Aki was left behind and allowed to stay in the village because he’s human and he wasn’t related to them by blood. She was only able to say a quick good-bye to him the night before she and her family vanished without a trace. Suddenly alone and left to fend for himself, his personality turned from kind but hesitant, to stoic and cold. He also developed a strong distrust for humans (even though he is human himself) because of their unfair racism towards half-elves. Soon after that, he left the village, (after repaying the bullies that had picked on him in the past with his fists) decided to pick up the art of the sword, and vowed to reunite with his childhood friend. He has absolute faith that she is alive and will be completely healed by the time he finds her.

Now, six years later, he has been working alongside Mairin Tailler in an underground teahouse that shares information with hopes that some information about his friend will come up eventually. Although Mairin is also human, he has accepted her as a very valuable ally.
